We are running hard and working with partners around the world to provide a set of tools to help the world's poor benefit more from horticulture.

Next Steps in Hort Doctor development

Hort Doctor is part of a larger project that will provide credible, demand-driven information to help millions of poor farmers and consumers in developing countries.
The next steps in Hort Dr are to
  1. enhance existing tools
  2. develop additional diagnostic tools for important crops
  3. work with national partners to develop local language versions of tools

For the wider project, we will build a set of inter-related sites that will provide information to help people:
  • Diagnose their Production problems in horticultural crops
  • Better manage and handle their harvested horticultural crops
  • Better market their crops and produce
  • Develop small businesses
  • Access relevant small scale energy in Ag,
  • Better transfer technology,
  • add geo-spatial elements, and
  • Better evaluate projects
